Description
Antique Hand Painted Scenic Beaded NIPPON Porcelain Footed, Open HATPIN HOLDER / VASEWe are pleased to offer for your consideration this antique hand painted Scenic, Beaded NIPPON porcelain Footed, open Hatpin Holder. The landscape scene features a windmill along a waterway with a house, trees, shrubs with a patch of blooming flowers in the foreground. The hand painted body is accentuated with black colored raised lines at the edges of the windmill, house, flowers, etc. A band of tan and green decorative motif with black dotted beading as well as the tan band below the scene. The three feet are tan colored in the front with black beads as well. The scalloped rim and upside down cone shape body lends itself well to holding hatpins. The open top allows you to also use it as a small bud vase. However you see it, either use would work fine. The hat pin holder has a green Morimura Brothers mark on the bottom that reads "
Hand Painted / M inside a Wreath / NIPPON
" which dates it somewhere between 1891-1921. The hatpin holder is in exceptional shape with no issues except for a small round circular stain inside on the side of the bottom (see photograph).

Measurements
: The hatpin holder measures approximately 5 1/2 inches in height. The scalloped opening at the top measures approximately 1 1/2 inches in diameter. The bottom is approximately 2 3/4 inches in diameter. The hatpin holder weighs approximately 7 oz. all measurements are approximate, but close.
Condition
: We carefully examined this item. NO Chips, Cracks, Scratches, Missing Beads, Repairs or Restorations. The only issue we could find is the small round stain inside near the bottom on the side (see photograph). There is a few minor whitish marks that appear on the tan color band on the bottom. This is very minor and we mention it only for accuracy. Please take the time to carefully examine all the photographs for more details.
