The Elbeco V1 External Vest Carrier is not a plate carrier but a cosmetic carrier shell for your existing vest carrier. It is designed to fit most vest carriers on the market today where the front and rear carrier assemblies separate at the shoulder, with either hook and loop or adjustable strap mechanisms.
Donning & Doffing Instructions:
1.

Separate the front and back carrier shell assembly on your existing carrier by the shoulder strap assemblies. (If your vest carrier does not separate at the shoulders you cannot use the V1.)
2.

Remove or fold over your existing carrier's hook and loop side flaps. (This reduces the bulk inside V1 and will not be needed as the
V1 has its own side flaps.)
3.

Lay the Elbeco V1 face side down on a table.
4.
Insert the front of your existing vest carrier into the front section of the V1 via the opening in the V1 lower panel, being certain that the outside face of the vest faces towards the outside or surface of the garment.
5.

Insert the back of your existing vest carrier into the back section (side with the label attached) of the V1 via the opening in the V1 lower panel, being certain that the outside face of the vest faces towards the outside or surface of the garment panel.
6.

Feed the existing carrier's separate shoulder strap assemblies through the shoulder sleeve of the Elbeco V1 carrier and connect per the vest carrier's manufacturer's instructions.
7.

Make the necessary shoulder strap adjustments, being certain that the vest properly fits as it did before inserting into the V1.
8.

After donning the V1, secure the sides with the side hook and loop mechanism.
