    Description

    This beautiful antique porcelain hat pin holder is hand painted and trimmed with what appears to be
    14 K gold. The holder is in shades of aqua with roses in shades of pink with lots of leaves. It is 5-inches tall and the base is 4.5-inches in diameter. I purchased it in an old antique store about 30 years ago, and then bought hat pins that I liked as time went by until I had the seven that are being sold with the holder. I cannot attest to the age of the pins, or whether they are reproductions, but they do have some lovely old beads on them, including at least one is definitely Venician. I did not shine up the metal pieces, and there is one small stone missing from the red pin,  but I could not find one to replace it with. Real or fake, those pins were not cheap. But they have been well worth the search, and I have enjoyed this set for many years. Time for someone else to enjoy it.
