GM 4.2L pulley tool for fan clutch removal Envoy Trailblazer Bravada Rainier

Description

This tool will hold the fan pulley in place while the fan clutch is installed or removed.  The pulley has four bolts, simply remove two of them, place the tool, and reinstall the bolts.  Attach a wrench or breaker bar to be sure the crankshaft does not rotate while removing or installing the fan clutch.  A simple monkey/pipe wrench works well to break loose and install the fan clutch nut.  Hole spacing is 1.895" center to center.  This tool will fit many other GM engines, however it's only been tested on the 4.2L.
