HISTORY:On September 23, 1926 at Sesquicentennial Stadium in Philadelphia in front of a crowd of 120,557 Jack Dempsey defended his heavyweight tile against Gene Tunney. Tunney, the better boxer, avoided the powerful blows of Dempsey and won a unanimous ten round decision and the title. Offered here is a very rare full, unused ticket to this event. Authenticated by PSA/DNA.
FULL DESCRIPTION:
This full, unused ticket names both fighters and has a section and seat assignment. Edge and corner wear with chipping. Ornate back picturing both fighters. The stub is attached. Bold color and print. Small closed tear on right edge. Clean. 2 5/8" x 6 7/8." Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA and graded Good 2 with cert # 85136867.
