!!! Note that there are some variations to the Reminton 597 that have a narrow dovetail cut or different non-rail type mounting system that is Not compatible with this sight. Please make sure to check your rifle and ensure that it has a pre-existing Picatinny rail mount
which is required for installation of this sight.
The Picatinny rail mount is easy to identify, it will be attached to the top of the rifle with several mounting screws and will be
approx 7/8" wide and at least 4" long !!!
