NEW HOLLAND ROUND BALER SEAL KIT FOR TAILGATE HYDRAULIC LIFT CYLINDERS, AN AFTER-MARKET KIT :
FITS 848,849,850,851,852,853,855,858 chain balers; 630/640/650/660/634/644/654/664 belt balers PLUS the early models of the 638,648,658,688 belt balers.
This is an after-market equipment seal kit for the tailgate hydraulic lift cylinders on the above balers. Each baler has 2 of these cylinders and when they will not lift the tailgate of the baler or when they begin squirting oil out, it is time to renew the internal seals.
This kit includes 8 pieces because it includes just the seals required to rebuild the cylinder, there is no piston or snap ring included like the Original Equipment

kit has, which we also have listed for sale.
Most likely you will be able to reuse your old snap ring and piston.  The original factory kit contains 10 pieces with a new wire snap ring and a new steel piston included.
Some of the New Holland cylinders used a different size seal inside the head gland. With no way to externally identify these cylinders, our solution is to include
BOTH
sizes of seals you may need but you will only use one and the other will be surplus.
With your purchase of this seal kit, we will also include the instructions from the service manual to repair the cylinder.
This seal kit fits all the balers above that have a cylinder with the 1/4" set screw in the side of the barrel of the cylinder at the head gland where the chrome rod slides out. If your cylinder has been replaced by a new cylinder, this seal kit may not fit.  Contact us if you are not sure.
