Biography
Bruno DeSantis was born and raised amongst the scenic beauty of Cansano, nestled in the Appennini Mountains of Abruzzo, Italy.
In his early years, he was draw
n to all things creative and his love for art had begun. In those early years living in a nation recovering from war, his access to media was limited, and he began refining his skills in sculpture using only the local unrefined clay.
He continued his study at Istito D'Arte in Sulmona, Italy, graduating with the designation of "Maestro D'Arte."
The years that followed saw him instructing young artists while continuing to mature his abilities at the Accademia Di Belle Arte under the guidance of Maestro Pericle Fazzini.
He emigrated to the United States in the 1960's and began to earn a living as a commercial sculptor to fund his independent creative endeavors.
Over the years his artistic expression can be seen in thousands of commercially produced works of art including the design of several Award-winning dolls for the Madame Alexander Doll Company and many commissioned and privately produced paintings, sculptures, and other media.
