    Description

A scarce and desirable period etching by the English artist Reuben Ward Binks (1880-1950), signed in pencil by the artist. The image depicts two show posed Wire Fox Terrier dogs, Ch. Cockeye of Sotts and Ch. Barrington Bridegroom, with the names of each dog appearing below their image within the artwork. The piece is titled Wires of the Period 1924. The artist's signature also appears within the image. This is a stylish depiction of two very classic Wires in a courtyard type setting. The artwork is under glass and is housed in a wood gilded frame with classic raised detailing. Overall framed size is 16 5/8" long by 13 5/8" tall. The image appearing within the frame boundaries measures 13 1/2" by 10 3/4". Actual image measures 9 1/4" by 6 3/4". The etching line is prominent but not distracting. A stellar piece!
