Royal Copenhagen Wire-Haired Fox Terrier dog #2967/1452 Circa 1923-43

Description

Standing Female Dog mostly white with brown and grey face and markings on the body. What makes this figurine unique is the makers mark which dates it very early, 1923-1943. Later ones were produced in 1969-1974 but have several differences. This one weighs 14.3 oz vs more recent productions which weigh only 11.6oz. In addition the coat is very detailed and has depth in the porcelain as well as tan brush marks giving it a very lifelike appearance. The later productions of this same design but with a more recent makers mark are nowhere near as detailed. It is in excellent condition and is truly a special and unique piece.
