THIS RARE FIND WILL BE A GREAT ADDITION TO ANY SRV COLLECTION!!
Epic/Legacy Records 2001 release promo postcard was put out for the remastered release of the two live performances at the Montreux Jazz Festival by Stevie and DT in 1982 and 1985.
Released in Press Kits and at select record and music stores in 2001 was the only way you could get them. You could not buy these and they were only made in limited numbers. I have 2 and am selling 1. The condition of these are absolutely fantastic with crisp bright feel, no creases and virtually no wear to even speak of!
The postcard is a copy of one Stevie had made out of a picture and sent back to the states while he was in Montreux, Switzerland. It shows the band arriving at Montreux looking happy and "live, alive". Stevie's handwriting is on the back with a picture of the band on the front in front of the airplane they just got off of. He mentions David Bowie and Jackson Browne. Absolutely cool little nugget for any SRV collector.
